Hello. My name is Dayne Logan, and you've found your way into my portfolio.
At one point, this site served as a mere holding tank for my writing clips, but as my job evolved to a predominantly editing position and later to a teaching position, this site evolved right along with it. Many of my writing clips, which appeared in publications such as KC Magazine, KC Business Magazine, the Leavenworth Times and Commercial Journal, are still here. I've also added work samples from my time as a graduate student and later as the adviser to Vox Magazine, a student magazine at the University of Missouri. Among those clips are stories I edited and designed for the magazine's iPad application.
Other miscellany includes clips from another iPad App I managed, a before-and-after editing sample and finished articles from my freelance editing work.
In August 2012, I headed to Iowa and, more specifically, Northwestern College to begin a new life as an instructor of mass communications. Since then, I've been teaching a handful of journalism-centric classes while simultaneously overseeing the day-to-day operation of NWC's student newspaper, the Beacon. I've also been keeping busy with some freelance work, so the clips should continue to multiply on this site.
Thanks for stopping by.
